Leigh Bowery was a live artist who pushed the boundaries of race, class, sexuality and gender by using costume and a performative persona to expand revamp, resize, redesign what a body — and a human being — is, or could be; imho, his brave and flamboyant experimentations in life and art stretch notions of what the body does, could do, might do, desire and imagine. I sure would like to get to Italy to see this 2012 exhibit of images by internationally acclaimed photographers Fergus Greer and Johnny Rozsa, called “About Leigh Bowery.”
